So I’ve read the book and yes, it’s nothing like it. But what I enjoyed about this film is the updated style of the zombies and how the film didn’t spend too much time on them. It wasn’t like an episode of the Walking Dead of 28 Days Later. It definitely could have been since there isn’t that much more to say about zombies. But it was a really nice piece of film editing that brought this back. There was plenty of action and intrigue to make it an enjoyable film but still smart. Could have been about a half hour longer though.
