So my friend Eric recommended I watch this, or rather, Ip Man 2. Man, how did I ever miss this? An absolutely brilliant and original martial arts film. It starts with the Japanese occupation of China in WWII and one man’s story to save the Wing Chun fighting style.

What makes this story all the better is that it’s based upon a true story, finally revealing in the end supers that Ip Man was Bruce Lee’s master. That without the agony and struggles he endured, Wing Chun would have died out. Anyway, I’m about 1/3 of the way through Ip Man 2 and then I can’t wait to start Ip Man 3 (prequel). Should be some fun commutes.
