I remember when this was out at the theaters I had wanted to see this.\u00a0 Not only was it Noah Baumbach, but it’s also produced by Jennifer Jason Lee, one of my favorite actresses.\u00a0 And her last film that she produced, The Anniversary Party<\/a>, I absolutely loved.\u00a0 So it was sad to discover just how disappointing this film was.\u00a0 Ben Stiller’s character is so unlikeable, the film got painful to watch.<\/p>\n

The only redeeming part of this film was Greta Gerwig<\/a>‘s performance.\u00a0 She was absolutely terrific, authentic and charming. If Ben Stiller’s character was more like hers, the film could have been different and better.\u00a0 Or, if the film was about her, it would have been great.\u00a0 But unfortunately, it wasn’t.<\/p>\n
