The rating is a bit unfair because I didn&#8217;t watching the Soderbergh nor Antonioni films. I didn&#8217;t have to because other reviews I read said the Wong Kar-Wai film is the best of the bunch and if that&#8217;s the case, I definitely don&#8217;t want to watch it.<\/p>\n<p>First, I&#8217;m sure the producers had an amazing vision for this film\/series. Let&#8217;s get these three amazing directors who talk about love and sex and have them shoot short films about sex. I think they had a long leash to do what they wanted because it wasn&#8217;t good. The only joy I got was watching Gong Li. But her performance was more like her character: an over the hill prostitute getting in a worse and worse situation and by the end, I just viewed her character as being rather pathetic.
