The premise being his wife is brain dead hooked up to machines and he discovers that she&#8217;s been having an affair. I mean, who the hell thinks up stuff like this. It shouldn&#8217;t work on paper, but it does work as a film due to the genius of Alexander Payne, who I&#8217;m not a fan of. I wanted to hate it since I didn&#8217;t care for his previous films (I was at the Sideways premiere and though the short they showed before the feature was much better). Anyway, George Clooney gives a great performance. Just felt sad for the actress who played the wife. I can imagine her agent breaking the news to her, &#8220;You&#8217;re going to play George Clooney&#8217;s wife!
