To call this the best new show on TV is an understatement. It received a lot of hype with Martin Scorsese<\/a> directing the first episode and being an executive producer and it’s delivered. Week after week, I’ve been glued to the storylines as well as the surprises.\u00a0 Just in the first episode, when we meet Al Capone, I was just shocked by it, amazing in his ‘early years’ before he was a somebody.\u00a0 The fact that it’s a mix of fact and fiction make it very entertaining.<\/p>\n

As for casting, Steve Buscemi<\/a> was a bit annoying at first, but he owns the role of Nucky Thompson. But the big standout star is Michael Pitt<\/a> as Jimmy. The entire series could and should be about him rather than Nucky. Every scene and story that he’s in is entertaining. But overall, it’s an amazing ensemble cast. And it definitely lives up to the hype.<\/p>\n
