It could be the beyond absurd modernity of his sister&#8217;s house. Or the fact that these people are unlikable, even M. Hulot isn&#8217;t as likable as he is in his other films.<\/p>\n<p>I know this is a lot of people&#8217;s favorite Jacques Tati film. And in context to 1958, it is pretty revolutionary.
