I love Woody Allen but his latest were trying to be a bit too intellectual, versus his simplicity at absurdity.\u00a0 The reason I loved this film is that it was a take on Time and Again (the book, not the movie although I never saw it but was told it&#8217;s awful). by Jack Finney. I love that book about going back to NYC of 1880.<\/p>\n<p>And this film, about Paris in the 20s is just really fun. Granted, more fantasy than truth. But that period, in one city, truly was a literary and artistic community.
