I didn’t know anything about this film other than the amazing cast. And I gotta say, I really enjoyed it. First, this is Paul Bettany‘s best performance and role. If he could find more roles like this, he’d be one of my favorite actors. Jeremy Irons was also equally impressive. The others, eh, not so much.

But the story is one of those, only now films. It takes place just before the market crash at a firm similar to Lehman Brothers where the day before the collapse, they realize what they’ve been doing was wrong and the day of reckoning has arrived. It reminds me of Glengary Glen Ross and Moneyball. An analytical film that’s more around people’s character and whether a turmoil like this changes them. Worth watching.
