The trailer for this was so well done that it made me want to watch it. Unfortunately, the trailer was probably the best cut of the film. It’s a very boring and unthrilling view of what a virus outbreak would look like. Soderbergh seems to have caught between making it like a true thriller/horror like film and a quasi documentary.

Analogies could be made to Danny Boyle’s 28 Days Later, but that film was sheer genius. Maybe because it had a simple premise that outbreaks happen and here’s the end result versus a drawn out depiction of what every single day would look like.
