I don’t ever remember hearing or seeing this at the theaters. But the premise is so simple, the set and location one-dimensional, it looks like they could have shot this in two days. Don’t get me wrong, I really enjoyed it. It’s based upon a Raymond Carver short story. Will Ferrell is an alcoholic who loses his job, his wife and his house. So he decides to just sit in front of his house with all of his possessions since he has no place to go. And thus, the entire film is set on his lawn. I could see this being a brilliant stage play.
