Wow, this film was so bad. It’s such a great idea for a film, but the story was horrible, the acting possibly worse and overall direction horrendous. The premise is, aliens have descended upon the Western frontier in the early 1900s, in a sleepy ghost town. Just there, I could see where the suits greenlit this film. But to have Harrison Ford play a sort of vile character and for Daniel Craig to be a tough guy just didn’t work. Not to mention every other stereotype in the film like the Penelope Cruz want to be Mexican wife of the bartender. Oh, and they even had Native Americans represented. I guess the only thing missing was one African American character. That’s right, why wasn’t that in there ala Blazing Saddles.
