This is a terrific film and I get why they released it when they did, just to get on the awards circuit and Oscar nominations. But if they would have waited and released this now or in a couple of weeks/months during the height of the election, this film would be a huge blockbuster.

More so because the point of this film is, even if you’re idealistic in what a candidate stands for, there’s no way his/her idealism will stay in tact after and during an election. Sacrifices are made just to get elected and it is all just a game. It’s discouraging to watch but in the end, we all understand it as we see the dysfunction of Congress and getting anything passed. Let alone most of these idiots elected.
