Thomas Crown Affair, The
★★★
Director: Norman Jewison
Year: 1968
So I’m a huge fan of the Pierce Brosnan remake, so I thought I should watch the original. Unfortunately, Steve McQueen’s character is quite the asshole, so you don’t feel for the guy and the film has a completely different vibe to it. It’s more the story of a rich guy who enjoys fucking around with people. There’s no morals, no soul searching and no satisfaction other than getting away with it.
The only pleasure I got was seeing a young Yaphet Kotto, after years of watching him on Homicide.
