There are some horrible films that try to recreate NYC, but it’s painful to watch because some of the details are wrong. But what’s fun about this film is that it’s so ludicrous, that NYC becomes just another comedy bit in the entire story.
Samuel Jackson and The Rock are absolutely awesome in telling this comedic, extremist story. And Mark Wahlberg and Will Ferrell are quite likable as the losers. The plot isn’t original in that it’s a buddy cop film. But the way it’s told is very refreshing.
