I suppose comparisons would have to be made with the original Swedish version of the film. And I gave them equal ratings. Mostly because this remake is so similar to the original (as well as to the book), that they’re both really well done. But I’d say, I definitely prefer Noomi Rapace to Rooney Mara, mostly because she has more edge and it’s more believable that someone like her would go through this history.

And the title sequence and the amazing soundtrack all gave it that much more energy, dark as it may be, to make this a truly Fincher-esque film. Can’t wait for the sequels to see how they line up to its Swedish counterpart.
