I’m not sure how to describe this awful film adaption of one of my favorite books. It’s been rumored for so long that they would finally be bringing out a film adaptation with Angelina Jolie to star in it, but that didn’t happen. What we got was a bunch of third rate actors who are so unmemorable and just plain bad. The book as the penultimate best first line of any book and the film’s delivery of that line was so nonchalant, it set the stage for a very unmemorable film.

And as I was reading up more on it, I found that Part 2 is set for later this year AND they decided to replace every single actor! I guess the producers thought they were unmemorable as well.

The only positive is setting this film in the future. I thought that was pretty genius plus how they got the premise of railroads being so important again. I could actually buy that and for that, I gave it 2 stars.
