An absolutely powerful film about being a black, female, gay high school student and her coming to grips with who she is, how her family sees her and all of the secrets and thoughts and struggles she goes through. I absolutely agree on it winning Best Cinematography at Sundance. It’s beautifully shot and incredibly acted. At the beginning, I thought it might have been a documentary. It’s very well crafted and honest.
