Little Dieter Needs to Fly

I had no idea what to expect other than another Herzog film. But this was incredibly captivating. The horrors of being a POW in Vietnam told through a survivor who obviously remembers every detail but isn’t angry, just realizes that’s part of him is startling. And I can’t imagine the trauma Herzog subjected him to to recreate some of the scenes. Amazing.
