Sweet and Lowdown
★★★★
Director: Woody Allen
Year: 1999
This was the second time I’ve seen this and it definitely is a repeat worthy film. First off, Sean Penn is incredible. The fact that he learned to play guitar for this role (and did so well) and how Woody Allen filmed him is terrific. It’s definitely one of Woody’s least appreciated films and it’s worth a visit. Especially if you’re enjoy listening to Django Rheinhardt.
