Spring Breakers
★★
Director: Harmony Korine
Year: 2013
This film just proves you shouldn’t watch films based upon their iTunes popularity. It’s such rubbish, I had a difficult time making my way through it. But if I had turned it off half way, I would have missed James Franco‘s amazing performance. He’s the only reason to watch this. Then again, if I’m going to be positive, this had an amazing audio mix, especially the phone acoustics and James Franco’s “spring break forever” voice.
But Harmony Korine couldn’t figure out if he wanted the film to be artsy, a Miami Vice TV show, MTV or whatnot. It had good moments but was all over the place
