Frances Ha
★★★★
Director: Noah Baumbach
Year: 2013
One of the few films I’ve been wanting to watch for a long time. As you know, I love New York films, especially coming of age films. And this doesn’t disappoint. Greta Gerwig is simply amazing. She plays a female Woody Allen circa Annie Hall, but if he was exposed to technology back then. It’s such a beautiful film. And surprising since I really didn’t like Baumbach’s last film, Greenberg. But this is worth it and love that Criterion released it as well.
