As most people know, Wong Kar Wai is one of my favorite directors. So why is it I prefer all of the other versions of Ip Man over this? Now visually, this is a masterpiece to watch. In one of the bonus scenes, they point out that each shot is like a moving painting and I believe it. But as far as a story goes, this felt a little all over the place. And it helps that I’ve seen all 4 of the other Ip Man films.
