This is a very ballsy film. I suppose it represents where our youth is now. It’s definitely not a John Hughes film although films about high school can all be somehow linked back to him. It’s fresh, a bit painful at times and makes me realize that I’m old and no longer in touch with what could viewed as mainstream teenager culture. But above all, Shailene Woodley is absolutely incredible. Worth sitting through although I wished the editing would have been better.
