The documentary that inspired The Monuments Men. I didn’t see that film, but this told an amazing story especially with the Louvre and how all of the art was hidden with various families. The film interviewed a woman who grew up in the house where the Mona Lisa was being hidden, almost like her secret drawing or something. It’s quite incredible and tells the role of art in and as culture.
