I absolutely love Wes Anderson films and yet, this is one of his films I just never wanted to watch. It just didn’t look all that interesting. Well, I finally found the time to watch it and it was just… bleh. I didn’t care for the characters, shooting in India made it one-dimensional and Jason Schwartzman‘s characters was the only interesting one. Maybe it’s because I had seen Hotel Chevalier, the short film that preceded this and explains the reason why Schwartzman’s character is on this trip and we meet his ex-girlfriend, Natalie Portman.
