I love Wes Anderson but this is one of his films I’ve never been able to get through. So I tried it again, made it all the way through and realized it’s not one of my favorites. It’s a bit heavy handed, felt the most like a staged production and frankly, didn’t care for the characters except for Willem Defoe.
