When this was in the theaters, I didn’t really care to see it so my wife and kids saw it without me. But now that it’s been released on DVD, I figured it’s perfect for a flight and had no expectations. So was I ever thrown that it’s absolutely brilliant. I figured this franchise lasted longer than it needed, but the story in this version is just incredibly smart, well put together and left me with a tear in my eye.
It’s well paced, there are those subtle grown-up humor throughout and it just works. I doubt anything will ever top The Incredibles as the greatest Pixar movie, but this has leaped into number 2 for me. Great job.
