I suppose the biggest surprise about this film is Jacki Weaver‘s Oscar nomination. I was sure this film would have been nominated for Best Foreign film. It’s an absolutely terrifying film about a crime family, their insecurities and their way of life in Australia.

While watching it, I was trying to compare it to The Town but this is more terrifying because these characters just have no morals. Nor does Jacki Weaver’s character as the mom. And what’s sad is, there are people like this in the world. Didn’t really know what to expect, but it’s definitely a film to check out.
