I’m not sure how this got nomiated for Best Animated Film while Despicable Me wasn’t. Sure, it’s a good film, very entertaining, but the story wasn’t that original. Granted, there are some great camera movements and flows within the narrative, but I thought it to be just a mediocre animated film. It’s entertaining, but definitely not Best Animated film.
