Director: Christopher Nolan

What an absolutely incredible film. Not just visually, but as a film that had a pure marketing theme: intellectual storyline that appeals to smart folks; action sequences for the mainstream audience; love story for the romantics; and crazy effects for the geeks. It really did have something for everyone. Because I found it crazy that an film so intellectual could be a mass market hit.

Not only has Christopher Nolan made yet another breakthrough film, but the details are what really makes this film successful. Just the characters’ names reveal some hint in identity: Robert Fisher (or Bobby Fisher, the greatest chess player), Eames (furniture guru for the masses) and Mal (Latin for evil). It all just works.

The only character I didn’t like was Ellen Page. Not sure if it was her acting or her role, since she got stuck as the character who had to explain the film’s premise.
