It’s Complicated
★★★★
Director: Nancy Meyers
Year: 2009
Meryl Streep can do no wrong. She plays such an amazing character in this film. The storyline is terrific and it wasn’t what I was expecting. And funny enough, it actually reminded me of a grown up Woody Allen film. All the way down from the incredible house to her business and it’s amazing kitchen. People don’t really live like this, do they?
I thought Alec Baldwin was perfectly cast. His midlife crisis in full bloom and playing the asshole and/or lonely guy so well, the balance was really there. It’s a fun film to watch and a fresh take on the Romantic Comedy genre.
