The original Karate Kid is a classic. It had the perfect soundtrack and the proper villains in the Cobra Kai. This version, since it’s portrayed by 11 year olds rather than 17 year olds, just feels like a kid film, rather than a teenager film like the original. Jaden Smith is cute, but that’s about it. And the villains, they just look like pathetic kids, not bad-asses who could kick your ass. The premise for their move is awful and Jackie Chan is no Mr. Miyagi. Oh well.
